So you're telling me that back home there's an entire species of rodent that can predict the weather?

Not so much...it's kind of a gimmick...an old wives tale....I don't know how it got started.

So how does it work?

Basically some old guys in top hats put on these big thick gloves...because apparently Punxsutawney Phil is a mean ole' groundhog and will bite your fingers off if you're not careful...and they hoist the little guy out of a tree stump they pretend he lives in.

...I'm sure this all makes perfect sense to you humans.

*Sarcasim* Oh absolutely...so they hold the little guy up in front of a crowd and declare if he saw his shadow or not and if he did that means more winter...but if he doesn't springs coming sooner...I think that's how it works.

Right...how can he see his shadow if he's being held up in front of a huge crowd?

I dunno...groundhog powers?

So can you see you're shadow? You are a shadow powered detective maybe it'll tell you what to expect weatherwise.
